Research

Seren received her MSci in Chemistry with a Year in Industry degree in 2024 from Imperial College London with a placement year at Syngenta (Jealott’s Hill) in synthesising novel herbicides. Her master’s thesis under the supervision of Professor Mark Crimmin and Professor David Churchill (KAIST) focused on the development of fluorescent chemosensors for HF shuttling reactions. During her studies, she completed summer research projects at Rothamsted Research (Harpenden) analysing fungi samples with LC-MS for the control of take-all disease in wheat, and with Dr Maxie Roessler developing analytical assays for the kinetic study of photosynthetic complex I.
