The Joseph Black Conference took place on Tuesday 24 June. Angie gave an excellent talk Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Engine Lubricant Additives, while Jonathan presented a prize-winning Physical Chemistry poster Gradient Copolymers Versus Block Copolymers: Self-Assembly in Solution and Surface Adsorption!On 1-3 June there was the Physical Chemistry Firbush meeting - the first since 2019. Philip gave a talk Fish Photo Finish, about the 18-year project on optical rotatory dispersion in mackerel skin. The weather was fantastic (there was only one light rain shower with double-rainbow bonus), and everyone managed to get out and about on land and water. Philip almost slept through a fire alarm at 02:30 on Thursday night, but avoided being burned alive. Publication date 03 Jun, 2022
