PhD Students
Binoy Paine (2024-)
Binoy joined the University of Edinburgh in 2023, where he explores femtosecond dynamics in transition metal complexes related to single-molecule magnets. Outside the lab, he enjoys playing chess and watching cricket.
Sophia Holincheck (2025-)
Sophia joined the University of Edinburgh in 2025, after a Masters at William and Mary University and research projects in Nathan Kidwell's group. Sophia is working on ultrafast atmospheric photochemistry, particularly focussing on Coulomb explosion imaging.
MSc Students
Zhuo Chen (2026)
Zhuo joined the group in the summer of 2026 for a research project as part of his MSc degree at the Unvisersity of Edinburgh. Zhuo is working on computer simulations of the spectroscopic response of molecules found in atmospheric Brown carbon.
Summer Students
Sofia Iaritsyna (2026)
Sofia is a 4th year Chemistry Student (MChem) at the University of Edinburgh. Sofia's summer project on velocity-map imaging spectrometer design.
