Edinburgh Professor recognised by the Royal Society Professor Polly Arnold has been elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society. Prof. Arnold has been recognised for her research focused on the design and synthesis of highly reactive f-block complexes that can activate inert small molecules such as carbon oxides, dinitrogen, and hydrocarbons, and that can provide fundamental information on structure and bonding at the bottom of the periodic table. In addition, Prof. Arnold is an active advocate for inclusion and diversity in STEM, regularly appearing in the media to talk about matters relating to diversity. Publication date 09 Aug, 2018
