Quantum computing research turbocharged by funding boost

UK Government investment of £20 million has been announced to accelerate the development of quantum software through the University of Edinburgh’s Quantum Software Lab (QSL).

The School of Chemistry’s Professor Julien Michel will join the leadership team of the 4-year Quantum Advantage TurboCHARGER (QATCH) programme as Deputy Director for Innovation to work on delivering applications of Quantum Computing in Healthcare, Materials, Finance, Energy, AI and Cybersecurity sectors.
