Congratulations to Professor Carole Morrison from the School of Chemistry who has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (FRSE) 2025. Professor Morrison is a Personal Chair in Computational Chemistry having recently finished her 5-year term as Head of Inorganic Chemistry at the School of Chemistry in autumn 2024. From April 2025 Professor Morrison will take up her new role as of Director of Teaching at the School of Chemistry, following on from Dr Chris Mowat.The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE), Scotland’s National Academy, has announced its 2025 cohort of new Fellows, celebrating leading minds from across science, the arts, business, public life, and academia. This year’s intake includes outstanding individuals whose contributions are shaping society in Scotland and beyond.Commenting on being elected as a FRSE, Prof Morrison said I’m delighted to join the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
