David was nominated for his work in helping the school to navigate a very difficult period due to the discovery of RAAC within the estate. His calm, pragmatic, people focused approach was very much what was needed when 80% of the school’s offices were closed and around 30 researchers displaced whilst surveys and remedial work were performed.Research was decanted into spare teaching lab capacity that the school had due to the recent opening of the Nucleus building on Kings Buildings campus. With David’s input, research projects were back up and running in these new spaces within 3-4 weeks of the labs closing.
