The School of Chemistry’s Student Support team has been named Team of the Year at the inaugural College of Science and Engineering (CSE) Staff Awards, which took place on the 5th of December, at the state-of-the-art Nucleus building on the King’s Building campus. CSE Staff Awards This prestigious event marked the first-ever celebration of outstanding achievements across the College, where staff gathered to honour the dedication and impact of their colleagues. The awards highlighted the innovation, teamwork, and contributions that make the CSE community extraordinary. Reflecting on the award, Dr Jean O’Donoghue, Head of Student Experience at the School of Chemistry, expressed her joy: I’m really delighted that the Student Support Team have received the Team of the Year award. Every member of this team works with dedication, care and compassion, not just for the students that they support – but also for each other. It’s so rewarding to see that reflected in this award. I am truly grateful to have every single one of these people in the team – they are inspiring! The winners were acknowledged for their excellence in Inclusion, Student Experience, Team of the Year, Staff Experience, Sustainability, and Research Cultures. The event was a celebration of the innovation and impact made by our colleagues, and their contributions to our College community. Long Service Awards celebrating colleagues who have reached 10 years of service at The University of Edinburgh were also awarded.
