Congratulations to the 24 School of Chemistry nominees across 5 different categories in the 2021 EUSA Teaching Awards. The list of nominations includes 3 for recently departed Director of Teaching Michael Seery in 3 different categories. Edinburgh University Students’ Association was the first in the UK to offer student-led Teaching Awards, which are now in their 12th year. Staff play a pivotal role in the student experience at Edinburgh, from lecturers and tutors, to supervisors and Personal Tutors, and professional services staff. The annual Teaching Awards provide students with an opportunity to thank staff for their hard work and celebrate the very best of teaching and support at the University, something that’s more important than ever this academic year. This year has been exceptionally challenging for all of our students and staff, and so I am immensely proud of how the entire School has continued to deliver world-class teaching and research. These nominations are testament to all of the hard work and dedication that the whole School has put into educating and supporting our students under such difficult circumstances.
