2nd Place for Two Minute Presentation

Postgraduate student wins award at UK Cryo-Microscopy Group meeting

Congratulations to Jessica Walker, from the Nudelman Group, who won 2nd prize in the Freeze-Frames Competition at the UK Cryo-Microscopy Group meeting last week.

The Freeze Frames competition is held annually at the Cryo Microscopy Group meeting as an antidote to the usual poster competition. It allows postgraduate students and post-docs to present a short summary of their work to the whole conference.

It is strictly timed with only two minutes and two slides allowed per presentation, so it has to be concise! This year the conference was held at the University of Nottingham Microscale and Nanoscale Research Centre. Jessica's work was on time-resolved cryoTEM of calcium carbonate growth in the presence of different additives extracted from coccolithophores.
