School of Chemistry participates in nationwide public engagement event The School of Chemistry joined in with the nationwide event of Doors Open Day, opening the doors of the Joseph Black and the Christina Miller Buildings to the public. There were over 640 visitors on the day, who were able to sample several different activities. These included enjoying our special School of Chemistry liquid nitrogen ice cream, making glitter shakers and using cabbage indicator to test the pH. There were also tours around the building, guided by Prof Colin Pulham and Prof Eleanor Campbell, taking in the many facilities and labs that the buildings offer. Publication date 13 Nov, 2019
