Image Competition 2019 Winners "Abstract Chemistry"

Edinburgh International Science Festival visitors vote for the best images

As in previous years, the School of Chemistry organised an image competition as part of their drop-in activities “Computer-powered Chemistry” at the Edinburgh International Science Festival from 11th-15th April 2019.

Research-related images taken by the members of the School were displayed at the National Museum of Scotland in the course of 5 days on the theme of “Abstract Chemistry”. The images were captured using different techniques including phone cameras, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cryo-focused ion beam-SEM, scanning electrochemical microscopy, and PyMOL. The winners of the competition were selected by the visitors at the festival.
