Award given at STEM for Britain competition Congratulations to Dr James Cooper, from the Cockroft group, who has been awarded a silver medal for hs poster presentation at the 2017 STEM for Britain competition. The posters were presented to a group of MPs at Westminster and the medal is accompanied by a £2,000 prize. This is James' last week on group duties as he is flying off to a postdoctoral position with Nobel Prize winner Professor Sir Fraser Stoddart from 1st April. STEM for BRITAIN Awards are made on the basis of the very best research work and results by an early-stage or early-career researcher together with their ability to communicate their work to a lay audience.
