Chemistry Ball Raises Money for Social Bite

Edinburgh Chemistry Students Raise Over £700 for Local Charity

he team responsible for organising this year’s University of Edinburgh Chemistry Ball have raised £740.65 for local homelessness charity Social Bite. Using prizes kindly donated by the Balmoral Hotel, the group of final year students organised a raffle to raise funds for the charity.

Committee member Kathryn Stevenson said, ‘as a team we were focused on delivering an event that benefitted both the School of Chemistry and the wider community. I feel that being able to use the raffle prizes in this way sends a positive message, the incredible support from staff, students and friends of the School of Chemistry shows that there are lots of people that share our vision.’
