Doors Open Day 2016

We let the public get a close look at the School

The School of Chemistry once again joined in with the nationwide event of Doors Open Day, opening the doors of the Joseph Black and the Christina Miller Buildings to the public.

There were over 800 visitors on the day, who were able to sample several different activities. These included making slime, eating liquid nitrogen ice cream and playing with non-newtonian fluids! There were also tours around the building, guided by our head of School, taking in the many facilities and labs that the buildings offer. There was certainly a lot of slime and ice-cream to clear up at the end of the day, but a great day was had by all!
